My writing journey took an unexpected turn when I began teaching journal writing to women with cancer. This experience, combined with my own medical experience, revealed the profound impact of putting our stories on paper. As creator of Storied Life Journal, award-winning Pennwriters author, licensed speech-language pathologist, certified book coach and certified journal writing facilitator, I've seen firsthand how the power of language transforms lives. Those moments of discovery and connection are what I hope to create with you here.
I came to Karen as I was preparing to enter the query trenches. I’d received feedback from several betas and was feeling good about my manuscript, but wanted someone to take a deeper dive. As a certified book coach, Karen helped me refine my manuscript, making it even tighter.

I was fortunate enough to participate in a series of journal writing sessions with Karen. Not only is she talented, she put all of us at ease and helped develop our love of journaling. Journaling was new to many of us and Karen was able to teach us techniques that allowed each person to grow. I continue to enjoy the many benefits of journaling thanks to Karen.

Karen's class provides so much more than just writing in a journal. I cannot wait to put pen to paper to see what I come up with.
