What began as a diary with lock and key has become a life-saving activity. During perimenopause when I was all hot flashes and heart palpitations, I discovered a lump in my leg. Luckily, it was benign, but still needed to be removed. What was meant to be two weeks turned into a year-long recovery and a lifetime of chronic nerve pain and numbness from the knee down. What a wake-up call! I was forced to redefine myself and the remedy was writing. Tracking patterns and themes, reframing and rewriting my next chapter IN life and ON the page, I transformed my story one journal entry at a time.
